Ayurveda, meaning "the science of life," is an ancient holistic healing system from India, developed over 5,000 years ago. It emphasizes the balance between mind, body, and spirit to promote overall wellbeing. Unlike conventional medicine, Ayurveda focuses on preventive care and maintaining health through balanced living, natural therapies, and individualised nutrition and lifestyle plans.​

​I’m Faye, the founder of The Root of Wellbeing and I know first hand of the transformative power of holistic living. I have experienced the healing benefits of natural remedies and nutrition, and I’m living proof that our bodies can heal when we honour their natural wisdom. â€‹â€‹

I named my Ayurvedic practice The Root of Wellbeing because, just as a tree’s roots determine its strength and health, the foundation of our wellbeing lies in how we live, what we eat, and how we nurture our bodies and minds. Ayurveda invites us to explore the root causes of imbalance; gently and holistically and recognize how our unique body type can stay in balance for optimal wellbeing.​​​​

  • Ongoing Studies and Support: While my current practice focuses on supporting individuals with general concerns related to their wellbeing, I am enhancing my knowledge of Ayurveda through further studies. This advanced training enables me to assist those with chronic and complex complaints as I continue to expand my practice, through the traditional understanding of the body. Additionally, I have direct access to teachers, ensuring I can draw upon expert support to elevate the care I provide to clients on my path to becoming a certified advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner.​​​​​
